The African Finance Association in partnership with Africagrowth Institute, Chartered Institute of Development Finance, the Development Finance Centre (University of Cape Town), other African Universities and financial, accounting, banking & research institutions, will be hosting the 21st Annual African Finance Association Conference on the 27-28 August 2025.

This 2-day conference will bring together academics, doctoral students, practitioner researchers in financial, accounting, economic, banking and insurance sector and practitioners throughout Africa and beyond to discuss issues impacting on financial, accounting, finance, banking and insurance sectors in Africa.

The African Finance Association is affiliated to a number of flagship publications including African Finance Journal, Review of Development Finance, Africagrowth Agenda and Development Finance Agenda. The African Finance Journal, is IBSS, Scopus, and Econlit listed and accredited by the South African governments and Department of Education for subsidy purpose. Review of Development Finance is both Scopus, CABS and IBSS listed and Africagrowth Agenda is IBSS listed.

Fee Structure for Hybrid the hybrid Conference

  • In person: USD250 for non-presenters and USD300 for presenters. 
  • Virtual: USD160 for non-presenters and USD190 for presenters.

  The fee will cover lunches, tea/coffee breaks with snacks, venue hire and admin cost.

DEADLINES

Deadline for the submission of abstracts and full registration (including payment of conference fees) is strictly not later than 1 August 2025
