Qualification Criterion |
To be admitted to the program, an applicant MUST have either (a) A minimum of honours (or 4-year degree), Postgraduate Diploma, Master's or MBA (excluding Master's in Development Finance) in Finance, Accounting Economics, banking or insurance. Full internationally recognised assessment-based membership of professional bodies in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Insurance or Economics (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, CFA, Chartered Banker, Actuary etc.) will also be considered.

Course Aims |
The aim of the course is to provide participants with an opportunity to understand recent innovations and practices in finance for development. At the end of the course, participants will be able to do the following:
- Discuss and analyze innovative finance practices to enable engagement with investors, foundations, development finance organizations, government and civil society approaches towards creating social and environmental impact.
- Design, select and apply appropriate and creative approaches, solution, services, processes or technologies to complex social and environmental problems
- Apply transformative perspectives in conceptualising, designing and implementing solutions that aim to address complex social challenges.
- Develop concepts, mindsets, skills, and relationships that will enable them to engage and evolve as a active innovative financiers throughout their careers, regardless of position or sector
- Examine current financial systems applications including bitcoin, Mobile Money, M-PESA and other financial products

Course Overview |
