Thomson Reuters Partners with Africagrowth Institute and African Finance Association in Improving the Quality of the African Finance Journal
One of the challenges African publishers face in the academic publishing process is effective delivery of manuscripts from submission to printing. Poor delivery leads to poor output from journals, which equally do not get published on time, thus loosing trust with high impact authors.
In order to improve the quality of African journals, publishers need to invest in research capacity tools that can effectively support the submission to printing process. In lieu of this we are excited to partner with Africagrowth Institute (AGI) and African Finance Association in supporting their publication the Africa Finance Journal. The Research Capacity tool that will support and guide in improving the quality of the journal is ScholarOne Manuscripts, a web based system that supports manuscript submission, peer review and tracking. ScholarOne Manuscripts balances the needs of the editorial office for comprehensive information gathering, with an author’s desire to submit quickly. Africagrowth Institute focuses on growth opportunities in Africa.
The main business areas of Africagrowth Institute are Africa-focused research in finance, economics and accounting. The Institute also published the Africagrowth Agenda Magazine and partners with a number of universities in Africa to deliver a masters degree in development finance. AGI also provides seminars and workshops in development finance.
