The Africagrowth Institute (AGI) is headquartered in Cape Town (South Africa). The Institute provides training, research and other capacity building initiatives relating to economic growth and development in Africa. The Institute partners with a number of Universities in Africa and Europe, which includes University of Cape Town, University of Stellenbosch, Strathmore University, University of Namibia, GIMPA, KCA University, University of Reading and University of Manchester. The Institute also partners with major institutions and government agencies to provide training and research in finance for development. Key specific projects of the Institute: the unique Master’s in Development Finance Program, the African Finance Journal, the Africagrowth Agenda and the Annual African Finance Journal Conference.
The Institute has a significant number of Visiting & Senior Fellows located throughout the African continent and other parts of the world. Fellows provide research, training and consulting support to the Institute’s academic and professional programs. AGI also provides training support to PhD students throughout Africa.
